Student Career Ambassadors

The Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD) has recruited Student Career Ambassadors from across OCAD U to help support the early-career advancement of students and recent alumni.

Student Career Ambassadors are senior students in their final year. They support the success of their peers by assisting the Career Development office in delivering valuable services, improving resources and connecting their fellow students with paid creative opportunities and professional development activities. Student Career Ambassadors are your peer connection to the Career Development office. They are trained to help support your early-career advancement while in school and can quickly direct you to the additional services and opportunities which are available to you.

How does it work?

A Student Career Ambassador might be present in your classroom. Their home base is on the third floor of 115 McCaul St. in the new Rosalie Sharp Pavilion for Experiential Learning. Connect with them here or in the shops, studios and labs throughout campus during the school year to:

  • Discover the full range of services offered by the Centre for Emerging Artists & Designers (CEAD)
  • Receive feedback on your resume and portfolio
  • Learn about new jobs and opportunities that you can apply to
  • Find out about upcoming events and workshops that might benefit you
  • + more!
